Spring Festival is around the corner, and today I went to Zhongguancun. The roads were almost empty, which felt a bit unusual. I went there to buy some electronic components for the Pulse24 project, but when I arrived at Zhongfa Electronics Market, I realized many vendors had already closed for the holiday. The place felt deserted, with only a few shops still open.
I also stopped by Dinghao and Kemao. Dinghao used to be the go-to place for DIY computers, but now it’s all office buildings. The bustling scene from years ago is completely gone. Kemao was even quieter—the once-busy computer assembly area is now just a small corner, almost empty. Standing there, I couldn’t help but feel a bit nostalgic. Time flies, and the Zhongguancun electronics market I once knew is now just a memory.
