Today was a special day—VELO Studio officially opened in Yizhuang Development Zone. I’ve always liked Yizhuang. It’s packed with high-tech companies, and industries like biotech, artificial intelligence, and autonomous driving are all clustered here. It feels like you can almost smell the “future” in the air.
But what I love most is the environment around the office. Behind the building, there’s a small forest with a walking path. I often take a stroll there during lunch breaks, watching the seasons change. In spring, there are new buds; in summer, lush greenery; in autumn, falling leaves; and in winter, snow-covered branches. It’s simple but calming.
The office window faces the Yizhuang Line train tracks. Every afternoon, I make a cup of coffee and sit by the window, watching the train pass by. As it moves through the trees, the leaves go from dense to sparse, and in winter, the bare branches make the train stand out even more. This little daily ritual has become my favorite moment of the day.
